Privacy
What we collect when you get in touch, why, who helps us look after it, and how to ask us about it.
Timberwolf Design (ABN 82 995 593 221) builds furniture by hand at 60–62 Mitton Ave, Henley Beach SA 5022. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. In it, “we” and “us” means Timberwolf Design.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter on the form:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The suburb or town and postcode we would deliver to.
- The piece, timber, size and options you are interested in, when you would like it, and how you heard about us.
- Your notes, and any photos or plans you upload. Photos are often of your home, so we treat them with particular care.
- Whether you would like a showroom visit, and whether you would like updates from the workshop.
If you ask for a printed brochure, we collect your name, email address and the postal address to send it to, and whether you would like updates from the workshop.
If you join the workshop newsletter at the foot of a page, we collect only your email address.
If you go ahead with an order, we also keep your delivery address, quotes, invoices, payments and the emails we exchange with you.
If you reach our website from one of our Google ads, your browser keeps a note of the ad click: the click identifier Google adds to the link, the campaign it came from, the first page you landed on and the site that sent you. If you send an enquiry within 90 days, that note is saved with it, so we can tell which ads lead to enquiries. After 90 days it is ignored, and cleared the next time you visit. We do not pass this note on to Google or anyone else.
To stop automated spam, we briefly use the internet address your enquiry comes from. We store only a scrambled form of it, used to count recent attempts, and old entries are cleared out automatically.
Our website uses Google Analytics and Google Ads. They set cookies so we can see how people use the site and which of our Google ads lead to enquiries. Google collects the pages you view, how you reached us, and general details about your device and location. When you send an enquiry, Google is told that an enquiry was sent and, if you came from one of our ads, which ad it was. We never send Google your name, your contact details or anything you write in an enquiry.
You can turn off personalised ads in your Google ad settings, stop Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser. The website works the same either way.
We also measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which counts pages viewed without identifying you. Your browser may also keep a list of pieces you have selected, on your device only.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and answer your questions.
- To build, deliver and install your piece, and to invoice and keep records of the order.
- To arrange a showroom visit, if you ask for one.
- To send you updates from the workshop, only if you ask for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand which of our ads and pages are worth what they cost.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything you would not reasonably expect from the above.
Who helps us look after it
We are a small workshop, so we use a few trusted services to run the business. Each of them holds or handles your information only to provide its service to us:
- Vercel, which hosts our website and stores the photos and plans you upload (in Sydney).
- Neon, which hosts the database that holds enquiries and orders.
- Google Workspace, for our email.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads, to measure visits to our website and which of our ads lead to enquiries.
- Resend, which delivers the email that tells us a new enquiry has arrived.
- Xero, for quotes, invoices and payments.
- Anthropic, whose Claude AI helps us read an enquiry and prepare a draft reply. A person reads and edits every reply before it is sent, and nothing is sent automatically.
- Railway, which runs the tools behind our email drafting and accounting.
Some of these services store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Singapore. We choose established providers and only share what each one needs.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and order records for as long as we need them to look after your piece and to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, which for orders is at least five years. If an enquiry does not go ahead, you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, unless we need to keep it by law. We will reply within 30 days.
Questions and complaints
Get in touch through our enquiry form (mention privacy in your notes), or write to Timberwolf Design, 60–62 Mitton Ave, Henley Beach SA 5022. We will look into any complaint and reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
